Firefox comes with a powerful search engine and it4s highly customizable. We will now see some of the more common - and advanced - features this incredible web browser has to offer.
Previous to this, we will show you the installation process, since this is a Portable version and requires a special attention when installing it.
All the Portable version has been made to carry them in a USB flash device so they can be run later on any computer without installing. That`s why when you need to choose the location of Firefox Portable, you must select USB device.

This way, once we install Firefox Portable in our USB unit, we will be able to run it from any computer and start using it.
To access Mozilla Firefox configuration menu, we must click on Tools and then on Options and a window will be displayed as shown below.

Configuration

We can begin Mozilla Firefox customization by indicating on the Main tab the address we want Firefox to show every time we start it. To do this, we just need to set the address on the address box, for example www.google.com. In that same windows we may also choose to show a blank page when staring Firefox.

You can also set up the download options. By clicking on Save files to we can choose where we want the files to be downloaded (by default Firefox saves them to the Desktop). We can also set up Firefox to ask us where we want to save files every time we perform a download.
To understand the following configuration called tabs, we should first know that tabs enable us to browse different web sites in a single browser session. To do so, we open as many tabs as websites we want to visit. To open a new tab inside a window we must go to File and then New Tab (or by pressing Control+T).

Now back to the configuration options, by clicking on Tools -> Options -> Tabs, we4ll access a panel where we4ll be able to manage tab4s behavior, enabling us to set the parameters based on how we want to use the browser

Another feature to take into account is Privacy, which allows users to set up browsing options, as well as cookies and our personal data, all in a simple and intuitive way.

Browsing with Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox basic functions are common to most web browsers out there, however we4ll see into detail its main features.

As in any other web browser, we can find an address bar - on top on the screen - used to insert the website address we want to visit. To its left we find three buttons. Next to the address bar we have the Homepage button, followed by Stop to spot loading a page - and finally the Refresh button to refresh the current website in case it was loaded with errors.
Arrows placed on the upper left corner are browsing arrows used either to get back to the previous page or to go forward in case we got back accidentally and need to go forward again.
Mozilla Firefox has a useful toolbar to access websites we often visit. This tab similar to a shortcut - is called Bookmarks and it can found below the address bar. We can a add a Bookmark by right clicking on the Bookmark bar (Mozilla Firefox has a few Bookmarks by default which can be modified or removed)

Then click on Save Page menu and then click properties on New Bookmark which displays a menu for the same properties:

Once there we name the Bookmark which will be shown on the bar together with the address we wish to visit every time we click on it.

Mozilla Firefox also enables users to see websites they already visited in case they forgot to add them to the Bookmarks tab. This new tab called History will show the websites you4ve recently visited.

In case the website we are looking for it4s not there, by clicking on Show all History we can see all the websites we visited - together with their icons.
